What is something that used to bring you joy, and how have you noticed your feelings toward it changing?

🌱 Belong Community Resource
There's a specific kind of quiet that comes with realizing something you used to love just... doesn't hit the same anymore. Maybe it's a hobby, a show, spending time with people, food you used to look forward to. You still do it because you're supposed to, but the feeling just isn't there. A lot of people dealing with depression know this one, that loss of interest and pleasure in things I used to enjoy that creeps up on you before you even notice what's happening. For me it wasn't sudden, it was more like the color slowly draining out of stuff I cared about, until one day I couldn't remember what excitement even felt like. Living with anhedonia is strange because you're not necessarily sad all the time, you're just flat, empty in a specific way that's hard to explain to people who haven't felt it. I'm curious how this shows up for other people here, and whether anything has shifted for you over time, even a little. What is something that used to bring you joy, and how have you noticed your feelings toward it changing?
