How do you cope with the emotional rollercoaster during the two-week wait?

🌱 Belong Community Resource
The two-week wait can feel like an emotional rollercoaster, can’t it? Many of us know that mix of hope and anxiety as we count down those days, wondering if this time will be different. It’s such a strange limbo, filled with anticipation and a million “what ifs.” One thing that has really helped me during this wait is creating a distraction plan. I find that keeping myself busy helps quiet the racing thoughts. Whether it's diving into a new book, binge-watching a favorite series, or even starting a puzzle, having something to focus on can really make those days feel a bit shorter. I also like to plan little outings with friends or family—sometimes just being around people who lift my spirits can help ease the worry. Another approach I've found beneficial is connecting with someone else going through this. I met a fellow member of our community, and we started checking in with each other during the wait. Just having that one person who truly understands what we're feeling made such a difference. We share our fears and excitement, and it’s comforting to know we’re not alone in this. Journaling has also been a lifesaver for many of us. Writing down our feelings, fears, and hopes can be incredibly cathartic. It’s a safe space to let it all out, whether it’s excitement, anxiety, or even frustration. Sometimes I go back and read what I wrote, which helps me see how much I've grown through this journey. The waiting can feel endless, and it’s easy to get lost in the emotional ups and downs. But remember, you’re not alone in this! Anyone else dealing with the emotional rollercoaster of the two-week wait? What strategies have you found helpful to cope? Let's share and support each other.
