Navigating the expectations of traditional rituals while wanting to modernize my lifestyle

One thing that has helped me is finding ways to blend the traditional with the modern. For example, when it comes to festivals or rituals, I’ve started incorporating elements that resonate with my current lifestyle. This could mean simplifying certain practices or adding personal touches that feel more authentic to me. For instance, instead of a full-fledged pooja, I might create a small, personal space for reflection that includes a few meaningful items rather than the entire traditional setup. This allows me to honor my roots while still feeling connected to my own values. Another approach many of us try is discussing our feelings with family in a gentle, open way. It can be daunting, but sharing your perspective on how certain traditions might feel restrictive can lead to understanding.
