Navigating cultural expectations while staying true to our Pasi identity can be a real balancing act, can’t it? It can feel overwhelming at times, like we’re being pulled in two different directions. One thing that really helped me was learning to embrace the complexities of my identity. I often remind myself that it's okay to exist in that gray area. For example, when faced with traditional expectations, I try to find ways to blend those with my personal values. If family gatherings emphasize certain customs that don’t resonate with me, I might still participate but also bring my own culture into the mix, like sharing a dish that reflects my background.
