Navigating the expectations that come with being part of the Kumhar community while trying to pursue our own dreams can feel like walking a tightrope. Many of us know the weight of tradition — the pressure to uphold family roles, contribute to our community, and follow the paths laid out for us. It’s a lot to juggle, especially when our own aspirations might not fit neatly into those expectations. One thing that has helped me is finding ways to blend my dreams with my cultural identity.
