Has gentle movement or yoga ever made a difference in how your back pain felt, for better or worse?

Some days my back feels so tight that even getting off the couch turns into a whole production, and I know a lot of you probably relate to that. I've been curious about gentle movement for a while, mostly because I keep seeing people mention yoga poses that helped my back pain, but I'm still not sure if that's just a lucky fit for certain bodies or something more people notice. I haven't fully committed to a routine myself, so I'm not trying to sell anyone on it or say it's the answer.
I think what I'm really interested in is hearing real stories, not just "yoga is great" or "yoga is overrated." Some people probably tried gentle yoga stretches for lower back pain and felt looser afterward, while others may have pushed too far and made things worse for a day or two. Both sides of that seem worth talking about, especially in a space like this where everyone's pain and limits look different.
So I'll toss it back to the group instead of guessing: has gentle movement or yoga ever made a difference in how your back pain felt, for better or worse?
